i bought ir leds from radio shack for like 2 ,3 bucks a piece, but they project a good beam, u can just see them. wut was the wave length u might have used? or do u just need a lot of bulbs?

When ever i use my LCD camera and look at the remote, there is not light there. Do you just connect the IR lights to battery and it will light up, or must use some micro chip.

  14. purplenoise2002 says:

You could. If you dig around on digikey or jameco you can find IR LEDs of all kinds, and probably choose the most powerful possible. the ones in most remotes are quite strong.

  15. boorens18 says:

no, that is called “near infrared” and you wont see the light from the LED’s

  16. LordAlwinTHC says:

Can i just pull out what is infront of a remote control and use it as Ir lights? Are those IR anyway?

  17. sebeo says:

is it possible to get hold of an IR torch and then ware glasses that have red and blue lenses on?

  18. hotboyfriend55 says:

i want to build one and i have a cheap cell phone that has camera built in, can i use it instead of a digital camera? and I dont know how to wire all the IR led’s can you reply please?

  19. moviephoneguy says:

so all i need for this to work is a bunch of IR leds, and a digital camera?

  20. snowdude67 says:

just waitin on for my ir leds and oh man im gonna have hella fun

  21. DaPepsinator says:

    cool thnx :D

  22. TraxxMuzik says:

    yea that is true

  23. DaPepsinator says:

but the ir leds dont make any visible light UNLESS viewed through the cam?

  24. TraxxMuzik says:

the cam makes it like that

  25. gipfeli says:

IR emitters… not LEDs… you won’t see them lighting up at night… some do still emit a little visible visible dot, but i’m not sure why…
